There is a common saying that 'everything starts with a dream'. Growing up I thought that saying was never accurate. Everything I wanted to do never seemed to happen that way. At age 5 the dream was to be a princess.. that definitely never panned out (yet). At age 10 it was to be a professional soccer player, for years that was working out in my favor but after a brief collegiate run, I very quickly realized that was not meant for me. At age 18 the dream was to be an interior designer, a semester of sitting behind a computer learning AutoCad answered that question for me. It was not until age 21 that a random job in a small town in North Carolina peaked another dream. A dream that continued to grow and never stop. That dream was to be a Women's fashion boutique owner. As of October 2022, that goal has been achieved and I'm never questioning that saying ever again.

Let me introduce myself: Hi my name is Jaela. Welcome to Leo Sun Boutique - I am so happy that you found us and hope that you find something that makes you look and feel like all eyes are on you when you walk into a room. That's what fashion is all about to me - making you feel beautiful in your body. If you are not into zodiac signs just brace yourself for a quote that you will hear a lot from me.. 'life is boring, add a little Leo to it'. If there is one thing I want you to take away from this blog post is that YOU and only YOU are the center of attention. Embracing your fashion sense comes along with that. Remember though, this can change as you evolve as a person. If 8 year old tomboy Jaela who would only wear sweatshirts and athletic shorts could see me now sitting in a Starbucks wearing a dress, makeup, and heels she would be absolutely shocked. Not to say that anything is wrong with that look.. I was literally wearing that yesterday while running errands, but if a cute outfit can help change my day, confidence, and mood, I'm sure there are plenty of people that think the same thing!

Leo Sun Boutique started with a dream. Plain and simple. Most people stress over having to walk into a mall or boutique and the thought of having to look through everything to find an outfit. Me, on the other hand, loves it. It's like a game. Memories of going through hundreds of Barbie clothes in my little bedroom to find the perfect outfit for her to go on a date with Ken come to mind. During college I started working at a popular Women's fashion boutique in Charlotte, North Carolina and eventually became the manager. Helping thousands of women find an outfit for a date night, concert, vacation, etc. gave me a rush like no other. The smile on their face as they stepped out of the changing room was unmatched. Unfortunately when COVID-19 occurred the boutique closed down and I was left crushed and confused. I had lost my dream job. After many talks with my family and friends, an idea popped into my head. I should start my own! Here we are 3 years later... I've made that dream a reality!
